Everywhere she goes, she leaves a tiny piece of her.
A smile for the people she meets, a hand for those who are in need.
She has eyes to help you see when everything’s getting blurred, She lends her ears even when your words are slurred.
She stumbles but never falters. She’s strong and independent, but behind closed doors, she sits in the corner, wrap her knees closer to her chest, and tears would fall down her cheek.
The moment the tears have dried up, she’ll step outside as if nothing happened.
She’ll be on her feet, ready to give whatever’s left of her;
Ready to accept what the world has to offer.
Every day she gives whole-heartedly, without question, without hesitation.
She didn’t ask for anything in return. But when the tides have turned, she realized it was so easy to give herself away there’s nothing left for her.

Writer's note:
One of my most challenging moments in 2020 translated into words - that's what 'Monday Blues Series: She' is all about. Ryuji's painting captured the 'calm' between the lines.
